The new Ford Fusion 2013 was officially certified as the medium most efficient sedan market in the US, after receiving the label Protection Agency Environmental (EPA, for its acronym in English) with a gas mileage of 47 miles per gallon city, 47 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined average for hybrid powertrain version.

With these figures, the highest ever awarded to a midsize sedan, the Ford Fusion Hybrid Toyota Camry Hybrid exceeds eight miles per gallon on the highway and four in town.
And gasoline consumption remains one of the main concerns of consumers when deciding which car to buy, it is expected that the segment of midsize sedans grow by 26% only in 2012, well above the 15% overall sales of new cars.
To meet this demand, Ford will invest $ 555 million at its plant in Flat Rock Michigan 1.2000 to add jobs and produce the new Fusion at an accelerated pace.

The patented Ford SmartGauge® with EcoGuide coaching the driver to drive as efficiently as possible and ECO Cruise, a system function of cruise control that helps to optimize the operation of the train engine to save gas when traveling at high speed on the highway.
The Fusion Hybrid is capable of reaching 62 mph in electric mode and also has Active Grille Shutters system, which increases the aerodynamics of the vehicle at high speeds, with panels installed underbody to avoid turbulence.
