FIAT Abarth 2014 Track Experience

Experience Track Abarth added three new cities to its circuit that continues to extend over the entire United States, with dates in the legendary tracks of Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida; Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut, and the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

In these events the drivers handled a special fleet of FIAT 500 Abarth to test the characteristics of high-performance vehicle through four modules driving: autocross (autocross), head-to-head challenge (challenge facing) driving dynamics (handling dynamics), drive performance (high performance driving). At the end of the day, professional pilots take the Abarth to the limit while customers can enjoy as passengers.

“Due to the popularity of the ‘Abarth Track Experience’ have expanded the program to offer our customers the opportunity to develop their driving skills in a safe environment,” said Jason Stoicevich, head of the Fiat brand in North America.

The six-speed automatic transmission FIAT 500 Abarth, new for the 2015 model will be available to customers participating in the “Abarth Track Experience” this fall.

To ensure that the FIAT 500 Abarth and Abarth Cabrio 2015 remain faithful to its tradition of high performance and high competition, automatic six-speed transmission has been strengthened with more clutch plates and more robust thermal treatment, thus increasing its capacity torsion.

This transmission is attached to the engine 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo provides 183 pounds per linear foot torque and 157 horsepower.

The “Sport”, specially calibrated by Abarth engineers, mode provides a driving experience even more dynamic cutting the fuel supply during changes at higher speeds.

At lower speeds changes are made to harmonize speed and brake assist, speeds are maintained during turns and increases the responsiveness of the pedals.

The registration fee for the Track Experience event is included in the cost of each FIAT 500 Abarth or Abarth Cabrio. For more information, please visit
